(GREAT FALLS ) Construction on a Panda Express restaurant is underway in Great Falls.

Panda Express serves American-Chinese cuisine with "bold flavors and fresh ingredients," according to its website.

The restaurant will be located in the East End Retail Center that is home to the new Walmart store along 10th Avenue at 57th Street.

Construction is underway in the northeast corner of the Walmart parking lot.

Plans for the 2,587 square foot Panda Express include seating for 66 people, an outdoor patio, and a drive-through.

There is no word yet on a proposed opening date for the restaurant.

Panda Express was established in 1983 in Glendale, California; there are now more than 1,800 locations, including six in Montana, with two in Billings, and one each in Kalispell, Missoula, Helena, and Bozeman.
