Posted: Updated:

Stanley Howard Wardinsky, 96, of Great Falls, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 of natural causes after a long full life.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, October 28, 11:00 A.M., at the Christ United Methodist, 2900 9th Ave S, Great Falls, with Inurnment to take place at the end of service in the church Niche Wall.

Stan was born on August 26, 1921 in Great Falls, MT, to parents Harry Wardinsky and Pearl Olson.

He attended schools in Great Falls, later graduating for Great Falls High in 1939.

After high school, Stan met who would become the love of his life, Elizabeth Mauk, whom he married in 1942. Together their lives were blessed with three children, Stanlee, Fred, and Jill.

The “metal” of a family can be shown in its sons and daughters, so along with his two brothers, Stan enlisted in what was then called the Army Air Force to proudly serve in WWII.

During his service, and throughout his life, God, Country, and the Flag is what Stan built his life and his integrity upon. He served in the Marshall Island Campaign on Kwajalien and Enewetak.
