Obituary: Frances Nell Lawson

Frances Nell (Mora) Lawson, 96, of Great Falls, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Peace Hospice.

The funeral service will be held Monday, October 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Center Church.

Frances was born December 17, 1920 in Eden, MT to John and Louise Mora. She was raised on the family ranch in Eden.

She left the farm and moved to Great Falls to be a housekeeper for a local doctor.  She worked numerous jobs throughout her life, including a draper, steamer for National Laundry, a florist for Kranz House of Flowers and a shoe sales representative for Herberger’s.

Her main career was working as a butcher and meat wrapper for the White House Market until her retirement from IGA.

Whatever the job, Frances was always known for her unbelievable work ethic, positive attitude and exceptional customer service.  One of her best quotes was, “I never needed to fill out a job application because I had a good reputation.”
