Fall Fantasy Dog Show raises money for Hug Fund

Posted: Updated:

Great Falls residents and their furry friends attended the 5th annual Fall Fantasy Dog Show on Saturday to show off their hard work.

From musical sits to costumes and even to a tail wagging contest, there were categories for all types of dogs.

Small or large, each dog had an opportunity to win a prize and a treat.

The money raised will benefit the shelter's Hug Fund, which goes towards improving and expanding the shelter.

"The event today was basically just to celebrate dogs, and celebrate fall, which is now winter today," Great Falls Animal Shelter Volunteer Coordinator Karen Hockenberry said. "Our Hug Fund is mainly to help complete our $400,000 goal, which we're less than $40,000 to complete it so hopefully next spring we can break ground."

To learn about ways to help the Great Falls Animal Shelter, visit the website or stop by the shelter during the week anytime before 5 p.m.
