Obituary: Leo Grismer

Leo Fred Grismer, 91, of Great Falls, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Leo was born on April 23, 1926 in Minot, North Dakota to Jacob and Barbara (Voeller) Grismer. He attended school at St. Leo Catholic School in Minot, ND and Great Falls, MT.

Leo worked as a heavy equipment operator with the Operator Engineers Local 400. Leo married Lenore Grismer on August 4, 1945 in Belt, MT.

He was a member of the Great Falls Motorcycle Club and Ponderosa Snowmobile Club. Leo was a CB enthusiast, Grizzly “Griz,” and enjoyed outdoor fun at Lincoln and Holter Lake. He also regularly attended a coffee clutch at the Barrel.
