Obituary: Earl "Ben" Lamb

Earl “Ben” Lamb, 81, of Great Falls, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 from Alzheimer’s after having lived a long full life. A Memorial will be held at a later date.

Ben was born on January 1, 1936 in Helena, MT to parents William Lamb and Gladys Perry. He attended Carroll College, MSU Bozeman, Univ. Of Nevada, Reno, NV, and MSU Northern.

Ben taught high school in Winnett, MT from 1959-62, Hawthorne Nevada 1962-69, was the Purchasing Agent for the Clerk of School District #1, and served as Assistant Superintendent for Business from 1969-97.

Having a true passion for teaching and education, he was active in many educational organizations and foundations through out his career.

He taught school business classes for the College of Great Falls, swimming for the Red Cross, Campfire, and volunteered with the Girl Scouts.

After his retirement in 1997, Ben continued working in the educational field and added AARP as a new interest.
