James C. Gilmore Jr., 70, passed away Thursday morning November 30, 2017, with his loving family at his side. He had struggled with heart and lung problems for some time.

He was born in Lubbock, Texas on May 22, 1947, the first of two children born to James C. Gilmore Sr. and Callie Gregory Gilmore.

After High School he entered the U.S. Navy and later became a long haul truck driver. He and his father were also glaziers whom he worked alongside in Hawaii putting many windows in the larger hotels there.

He retired from truck driving in 2000 and moved to Montana to be closer to his sister. He worked for Kalispell Walmart, Idaho timber and the Missoulian delivering papers until ill health forced his full retirement.

While in Kalispell he met the love of his life Susan Kingsland and they shared 12 years together.
