The Salvation Army hosted its annual Fill the Truck event on Saturday at Walmart and the goal was to fill a truck with toys, coats, and children's gifts to distribute to Helena children in need.

Salvation Army members and volunteers sang Christmas carols while waiting for the public to drop off gifts.
Free hot cocoa and donuts were also available.
Volunteer Travis Kelly said he was happy to help out.
"I just love seeing the smiles on people's faces and so grateful seeing the community come together and help those in need," Kelly said.
Salvation Army said they are distributing 500 food boxes to families in need on December 16th as well.
