Great Falls police officers and children in need went holiday shopping on Tuesday evening as part of the annual “Shop With a Cop” program.
The program is now in its 20th year and pairs children with police officers who treat them to a shopping spree.
The Great Falls Police Protective Association hosts the event, which has no administrative costs meaning 100 percent of donations go directly to helping kids.
According to Officer Scott Bambenek, the officers almost enjoy the occasion more than the kids do.
"We all do it for the same reasons and then the smiles, seeing the kids smile when they put the toys in the basket, it’s pretty awesome," Bambenek said.
