(UPDATE) Three adults and three children were injured in the two-vehicle crash.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, an eastbound vehicle lost control, crossed the center line, and slammed into an oncoming vehicle.
Three adults and three children were taken to a hospital.
Their injuries range from minor to serious.
(1st Report, 7:07 p.m., Monday) Emergency crews are at the scene of a crash just east of Great Falls.
The crash was reported to the Montana Highway Patrol just before 6 p.m. on Monday.
It happened near mile marker 88 of US Highway 89 meets, close to the intersection with Highwood and Sand Coulee roads.
Initial reports indicate that several people were taken to Benefis Health System; the nature and severity of injuries is not yet known.
There are no reports of fatalities. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
Several agencies responded to the scene, including the Cascade County Sheriff's Office, the MHP, and Sand Coulee Fire.
Road conditions are slick with light snow falling. There have been several other crashes and slide-offs reported in and around Great Falls.
The Montana Department of Transportation has resources to track road conditions:
