A Great Falls tradition will once again come to life on Christmas Day.
The Danny Berg Memorial Dinner has been serving holiday meals in Great Falls for the past 25 years.
The annual event started in 1993 by feeding 60 people, and has since grown to serving about 500 meals.
It was started because Berg didn't want anyone to be alone on Christmas.
“It continues to grow and it is open to anyone in the community. We encourage people to bring their families, the children, young airmen who are away from home their first Christmas. Come on down, it's a nice family atmosphere,” Parsetich said.
Danny passed away in 2008, but friends and volunteers have been keeping his memory alive since then.
"I don't think when he started in 1993 he would have had any idea that it would have grown to this level, or following his passing that his legacy would be continuing,” Parsetich said.
The dinner starts at noon and goes until 3 p.m. at the Great Falls Senior Citizen Center at 1004 Central Avenue.
For those who would like to come but do not have transportation call Wade Gehl (406) 781-6347.
