Sabrina Scott, a 6th-grade teacher at Sunnyside Elementary School, believes students learn the most when they're having fun with their curriculum.
That's why Scott says she's using her Once Class At A Time grant to buy hands-on learning materials for her class.
Scott says the $250 grant will help buy algebra tiles, math menus, ratio chips, and interactive games to help her students learn.
She hopes to engage students' interest through the new materials.
Student Jaiden Harvey says math is her favorite subject and believes she learns the most when she's having fun in class.
"It makes me feel more engaged in math so that I remember more about these math facts and how to do them," said Harvey.
One Class At A Time is a partnership between MTN and First Interstate Bank.
