Road conditions remain hazardous

Road conditions in many areas remain hazardous due to ice, snow, and blowing snow.

The Montana Department of Transportation said in a press release at 7:14 p.m. on Monday that the following roads are closed due to severe drifting, snow and ice, blowing and drifting snow, and reduced visibility: 

  • US 2 Devils Creek East over Marias Pass and onto East Glacier, Browning, and Cut Bank JCT w/358
  • US-89 South, Browning to the JCT w/ MT-44

Tonight: Patchy freezing fog before 11pm. Mostly clear, with a temperature rising to around 12 by 1am. Wind chill values as low as -9. South southwest wind 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 31. Wind chill values as low as -4. Southwest wind 9 to 13 mph. Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 20. West southwest wind around 7 mph.
