Ralph Derrick Lacey, Jr., has been charged with felony assault with a weapon and misdemeanor partner/family member assault in Great Falls.
Court document state that police officers responded to a reported assault at about 2:21 a.m. on Monday, January 1st, at a residence on the 1300 block of 13th Street South.
A woman told the officers that Lacey had pulled her hair and punched her in the face six or seven times, and that Lacey was holding a gun during the alleged assault.
Officers noted that the woman had a bloody mouth a cut on her upper frenulum.
Inside the residence, officers found a .40 caliber pistol.
Officers arrested Lacey, and noted that he had blood on his face and pants.
Court documents state that Lacey admitted hitting the woman, and said that the blood was hers.
Lacey denied owning or possessing a firearm because he is a convicted felon.
Court documents note that Lacey has four convictions (two felony, two misdemeanor) for partner/family member assault. He also has a conviction in Cascade County for issuing a bad check.
Prosecutors requested that bond for Lacey be set at $25,000.
