The Great Falls Police Department welcomed its newest officer to the force on Wednesday.
Clayton Henderson was sworn in as badge number 332 by Municipal Court Judge Steve Bolstad.
Henderson is a Great Falls native who has been working on becoming a police officer for the past five years.
During that time he was working for the Great Falls Emergency Services.
Henderson will join Cascade County Sheriff's seven new deputies at the Montana Law Enforcement in Helena on January 8th to complete several weeks of training.
The new deputies are Ashley Boles, Megan Brown, Casey Gervais, Panther Lee, Kevin Lindland, Logan Livingston, and Kasey Whitsitt.
The Montana Law Enforcement Academy is operated by the Montana Department of Justice, providing basic and advanced training for state, county, city, and tribal law enforcement officers throughout the state.
The basic training course is 12 weeks and is offered three times a year.
