(MISSOULA) The two people who died in a car crash on Saturday near Plains have been identified as Gavin Armstrong, Jr., and Jessica Timlick.
They were from Hot Springs, and both were 35 years old, according Sanders County Deputy Coroner Greg Davis.
Davis said the couple recently moved to Hot Springs.
The Montana Highway Patrol says that at around 12:45 a.m., the couple in a Jeep Grand Cherokee were westbound on Montana Highway 28 when the driver failed to negotiate a turn.
The driver then over-corrected and the vehicle collided with a rock cliff face, ejecting the passenger onto the road.
MHP says the victims were not wearing seatbelts, and that alcohol, drugs, and speed are all considered factors in this crash.
The Sanders County Sheriff deputies, Sanders County Coroner, Montana Highway Patrol, Plains Police Department, Plains ambulance all responded to the fatal accident.
The statewide total of people who have died in crashes this year is now at 78.
