Fatal crash reported near Centerville

A motorcycle crash southeast of Great Falls has claimed the life of a man. 

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 227 between Centerville and Stockett. 

The MHP says a man on a motorcycle was southbound when he lost control on a left hand curve.

The motorcycle rolled across the center lane and into the west side ditch. 

According to MHP, the man was thrown from the motorcycle and hit a directional curve sign. 

The man died at the scene.

There is no word yet on whether speed, alcohol, or helmet use were factors in the crash.

The man's name has not yet been released; we will update you if we get more information.


(1st Report, 6 p.m.) A deadly vehicle crash has been reported southeast of Great Falls.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the crash happened at about 4:50 p.m. on Thursday.

The crash happened along Stockett Road just south of Centerville school.

There is no word yet on the cause of the crash.

Authorities have not yet released any details.
