GREAT FALLS — Willie Todd Veltkamp has been charged with raping a teenage girl in Great Falls.
The 14-year old victim told police that on the night of April 15, Veltkamp was laying with her in her bed. Court documents allege that Veltkamp then pulled the victim's pants down, pushed her onto the bed and pinned her hands down. He then raped and sexually assaulted her.
The victim's mother told police that the next morning, she received a text message from the victim saying, "I'm technically not a virgin cuz of ..."
A sexual assault examination of the victim indicated trauma as a result of the sexual assault.
When questioned by police, Veltkamp admitted to "snuggling" with the teen, but denied finding her attractive and denied that anything physical happened between them. He said that while he was snuggling her, he made sure to keep distance in the "lower half" because that is "weird and awkward."
Veltkamp then requested a lawyer and the questioning ended.
