GREAT FALLS – Ducks, swans, and geese said goodbye to their winter home and hello to sunshine Friday morning.
The waterfowl were released into Gibson Pond after spending the winter at “Honker Hilton,” their indoor location.
During the cold months, the birds are kept inside for their own safety as many have clipped wings. Great Falls Park and Recreation staff care for the birds throughout the winter.
They are still fed on a daily basis while enjoying the summer months at Gibson Pond.
