Alfred Edward Whitaker peacefully passed away June 26, 2020, at his residence in Great Falls, Montana.
Al was born on June 19, 1936, in Helena, Montana, the son of George A. and Cora E. (Young) Whitaker. He served with the U.S. Marines in Korea during the Korean War. When he returned, he met and married the love of his life, Martha, and they spent most of their lives in the Great Falls area.
Al retired from Benefis Hospital 22 years ago where he had been the Food Service Director for 30 years. Before his move to Great Falls, he was the Chef at Yellowstone Country Club located in Billings, MT. He also occasionally taught cooking school in Great Falls.
He enjoyed auto racing and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing with his children and grandchildren.
