Elmer “Wolf” Walton Wolf, 81, of Great Falls, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to many.
Wolf was born on October 19, 1939 in Conshohooken, PA to Elmer Augusta and Alice Louise Pope Wolf. After graduating high school in 1953 he joined the U.S. Air Force. When stationed at Fortuna, ND Radar Base he met and married Marlene Olson. They were later divorced, but during their time together were blessed with two daughters, Dawn and Diane.
While stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls he met and married Barbara Danell in 1976. She brought three beautiful daughters with her, Debbie, Lisa and Jane. He accepted these girls as his own and raised them for ten years. They always stayed close and he continued to go to the yearly family reunions.
In 1985 Wolf retired from the Air Force and contracted to lay cable in Thule, Greenland for two and a half years. When he returned to the states he moved to Havre, where he met Karen Birkeland Clark in 1992. On August 28, 1993 they were married, and he happily welcomed her three boys, James, Matthew and Mickey as his own. They moved to Great Falls and spent the next 27 years together.
