GREAT FALLS — Thanksgiving may be next week, but you still have time to help cheer up some senior citizens and hospital staff members. Through Monday, the Benefis Foundation is accepting colored Thanksgiving drawings.

The drawings are posted on the foundation’s website for people to print and then color.

They’ll be delivered to Benefis’ Senior Services residents and staff members. As of Thursday, about 300 drawings had been delivered.

Some have also come with positive messages.

"That's nice that the residents can kind of get these and see that people in the community are thinking of them, kind of bring them joy with some of the stories. The kids are talking about trick-or-treating and they're loved and people are just thinking about them and they want them to be happy,” said Dannette Swift, the Benefis Foundation Annual Giving Director.

The drawings can be mailed to the foundation, e-mailed to foundation@benefis.org, or you can call the foundation and schedule them to be picked up.

The foundation’s Christmas drawings were also available to print and color as of Thursday. They’ll start being collected at the beginning of December.
