GREAT FALLS — This week's One Class At A Time recipient will use her grant to help students of all reading levels.
Baylie Skawinski, who is a brand-new first year teacher at Longfellow Elementary School, says she plans to buy a variety of reading books for students to take home.
She says older books are often not returned back to school and the new materials can provide students with books in both environments.
The materials will help to fill her second-grade classroom bookshelves that often depend on others' donations to stock.
Skawinski says the new stories will help captivate students' minds.
Mike Bowsher of First Interstate Bank presented the grant to Skawinski.
The One Class At A Time program is a partnership between KRTV and First Interstate Bank.
