How you can register for election judge training in Cascade County

Cascade County Elections Administrator Terry Thompson and her staff are hosting another Election Judge training session on March 21st.

"The severity of what does the job entail and what are the expectations, because everything that they do is is determined by the statute of what they can and cannot do and every single part of the process. So it's extremely important that these people are certified. And I think that makes them proud that they can say, hey, I've been a certified judge," explained Thompson.

Election Judges help Cascade County Elections Office staff with daily polling places processes. It can range from voter registration, checking in voters, and providing insight on the voting process.

Election Judge Certification Class Details

Date: Thursday, March 21
Class 1 – 10:00 to 11:30am
Class 2 – 2:00 to 3:30pm
Class 3 – 5:00 to 7:30pm

Location: Cascade County Courthouse Annex, 325 Second Avenue North, Room 116 (conference room)

Attendee Limit: 20 per class

Registration deadline: Wednesday, March 20 at 5pm.
The class is free and you must be a registered voter. It's open to new and existing judges.

Thompson also told MTN that the deadline for Voter Registration is approaching on April 9th. If you plan to mail in your voter registration information, it must be date stamped in the mail by April 8th. If it is stamped by that date and received after the deadline, it is still applicable.

The Cascade County Elections Office is still working out the details to have voter registrations on Election Day at the polls.
