Four people were injured Friday when their SUV swerved off Monad Road in Billings and struck a house, then rolled over.

Two of the vehicle’s occupants were thrown clear, while two were still inside, Billings Police Sgt. Matt Chaney said at the scene.

People were inside the house on the 2000 block of Monad Road, but they were not injured, he said.

A neighbor said the impact was the "worst sound I’ve ever heard."

Chaney said the vehicle occupants were three males and a female, and all were conscious with serious injuries when responders arrived. Alcohol and speed are suspected factors, he said.

Neighbors said the four appeared to be in their late teens or early 20s.

There is no word yet on the cause of the crash, or whether charges are pending.
