Icy roads are causing travel troubles across Montana. Heavy snow has reduced visibility to less than a half-mile in and around Great Falls.

There have been numerous slide-offs and minor crashes reported across the region. There have been no serious injuries reported at this point.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for nearly all of Montana. This storm system will impact Montana most of Monday, finally tapering off Monday night into Tuesday.

Wind could gust as high as 35 miles per hour this afternoon, causing blowing and drifting snow as well as falling snow. With the windy conditions, wind chills will be in the single digits and below zero today through overnight.

Tuesday is expected to be quiet, however temperatures will remain well below normal.

More unsettled weather is expected to move in on Wednesday and last through the remainder of the week.
