Kim Skornogoski with United Way of Cascade County and organizer of ‘Take Pride In Our Parks’ stopped by the MTN studio to talk about the annual clean-up day.
She says the event lines up with April being National Volunteer Month and believes it’s a great way to recreate fun, safe, clean places for the community.
‘Take Pride in Our Parks’ is a partnership between United Way of Cascade County and Great Falls Park & Recreation.
The event takes place on Saturday April 28th from 9 a.m.-10 a.m at parks in Great Falls.
Skornogoski says the clean-up day depends on the volunteer efforts of individuals and teams from the community.
She says they’re now recruiting volunteers and groups between 6-20 people.
In past years, the event has recruited around 120 volunteers and adopted 12 parks.
