One dead, one injured in Glacier County crash

(UPDATE, 3:40 p.m.) One person died and another was injured in a head-on collision crash in Glacier County on Wednesday morning.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6 a.m.

One vehicle was traveling west on Highway 2 near mile marker 259 when it collided with an eastbound vehicle.

The first vehicle came to a stop on the westbound lane shoulder and the driver sustained minor injuries.

The second vehicle stopped on the north side of the road in a field. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The MHP said both drivers were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a contributing factor.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.

(1st Report, 9:48 a.m.) A fatal crash has been reported in Glacier County.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at 6:16 a.m. on Wednesday.

It happened along Highway 2 near mile marker 259.

The name of the victim, number of people and vehicles involved, and the level of injuries are unknown at this time.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
