The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office says that the body of Micheal Kreisberg was found at about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Crew members of the Two Bear Air helicopter located Michael and his dog, Misha, approximately one mile north of the Crazy Canyon Trailhead.
In a Facebook post, the MSCO said: "We are sad to announce that when ground crews reached Michael, it was discovered that he was deceased. Cause and manner are still being investigated but nothing suspicious was located at the scene. Special thanks to the crew of Two Bear Air, Search and Rescue members from the Missoula and Seeley/Swan units, and all of our law enforcement partners who assisted in the search and recovery. And a very special thanks to Misha for protecting Michael while everyone searched for him. Please keep Michael’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers."

(1st Report, April 25) Missoula County Search and Rescue personnel are in the Pattee Canyon Recreation area looking for an overdue hiker named Micheal Kreisberg, and his dog.
Kreisberg, 78 years old, is believed to have been hiking with his dog in the Crazy Canyon Trailhead area on Tuesday, April 24th.
According to the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office, he was wearing blue jeans, long-sleeve blue top, and may have had a small backpack.
His dog, Misha, is approximately 45 pounds with long black fur with white and brown patches.
The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, University of Montana Police, and Two Bear Air are aiding the search efforts.
Anyone who saw or sees Kreisberg or has information about his location is asked to call 911.
