The historic Belt Theater is just about ready to have its first performance.
Construction on the Belt Performing Arts Center is expected to be done by Tuesday, May 1.
A "soft" opening will be held on that night and throughout the month.
Students from the Belt Valley Shakespeare Program were able to get a first-hand look at their new stage.
As they prep for their upcoming performance, Shakespeare’s’ “Much Ado About Nothing," they have been at the Golden Valley Homes.
The students are excited about the new stage, saying it’s so big and there is plenty of room to move around on.
“It looked really old,” Charity Highfill said. “It’s really cool, it’s more modern.”
Their first performance will be on May 4th.
