The Flame of Hope made its way to Great Falls for the Special Olympics State Summer Games on Tuesday evening.
Law enforcement officers from around Montana joined together to carry the torch across the state.
The run began on April 24 in Port Roosville and went through places such as Kalispell, Glasgow, and Billings.
"It’s just a great thing to do for the athletes," said Jim Humiston, a 7-time torch runner. "Just being able to run with the Flame of Hope and being the guardians of the flame, it’s an honor really."
The Opening Ceremony and the lighting of the cauldron will be held at the Four Seasons Arena on Wednesday.
The Summer Games run until May 18 and will feature over 900 athletes taking part in 11 different sporting events including track and field, gymnastics, cycling, and swimming.
Athletes of all abilities and ages will be featured; the youngest being eight years old and the oldest ringing in at 77.
