Community Connection: Paris Gibson Award nominations

Nominations are now open for the ninth annual Paris Gibson Award.

The Paris Gibson Award honors the person who best embodies the vision exemplified by the founder of Great Falls, Paris Gibson.

To be nominated, he/she needs to be a long-standing resident of Great Falls, has provided significant impact to the city of leadership through volunteerism and selfless action for the betterment of the community.

The award winner with be given a $500 check provided by Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz of Steel Etc., which may given to a local charity of the winners choice; will have a tree, donated by Steve Tilleraas of Tilleraas Landscape Nursery, planted in West Bank Park in their honor, with a granite marker donated by Montana Granite; and a plaque donated by Greg Hall of Access Fitness; and a ride in a vehicle provided by City Motors in the 4th of July Parade. 

Nominations can be submitted to Great Falls Park & Recreation Department or emailed to prearden@greatfallsmt.net by June 1st.

The winner will be announced before the Municipal Band Concert at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27 in the Mansfield Convention Center.
