There are reports of several power outages in northwest Great Falls that are affecting around 100 customers.
According to NorthWestern Energy’s website, current outages have been reported in the areas around C.M. Russell High School.
KRTV has received reports from viewers indicating the outages are affecting businesses along Northwest Bypass.
The utility company has not yet determined an estimated repair time.
The cause of the outage is not yet known, however, we have received an unconfirmed report that it may be due to a blown transformer.
An outage that affected around 250 customers west of Great Falls was repaired around 11 a.m.
"Customers" refers to a business or a residence, so the number of people without electricity can be higher than the figure reported.
Safety reminder: if traffic lights are not working due to a power outage, the intersection must be treated as a four-way stop.
