The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office released the following information on Thursday:
On August 8, 2018 shortly before 8 pm a residential structure fire was reported in Hungry Horse. The home was fully involved when the fire department arrived. Once the home was extinguished a body was found inside.
The body has been transported to the Montana State crime lab for positive identification and autopsy.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending positive identification, but is believed to be the resident of the home, a 60 year old female.
At this time the cause of the fire remains under investigation by fire personnel.
The name of the victim will be released on positive identification.
