Firefighters responded to a wildland fire east of Belt that was caused by lightning on Saturday.
Belt Rural Volunteer Fire Department and Raynesford Fire were called out at 7:15 p.m. for a fire in a wheat field.
Chief Travis Johnson said they had the fire contained in about an hour.
Crews were on scene for about five more hours to make sure the fire was completely out.
The fire burned 18 acres of standing wheat and tall grass. No injuries were reported.
Johnson wanted to remind people to be careful as the warm weather causes the land to dry out even more.
