High pressure helps us warm back up through the week

Posted

High pressure moves in and we will warm up quickly over the next few days.

Today we stay below average for highs this time of year, but we will quickly warm up ten degrees higher than average by Thursday.

Isolated showers and storms will pop up in Southeast Montana this afternoon, but those stay to our east and move out through this evening.

Wednesday we will see sunny skies and temperatures back into the high 80’s and low 90’s before warming up to the mid 90’s by Thursday.

Our next chance of rain comes in on Thursday evening and all Friday.

A cold front from Canada brings enough energy to spark up some storms in most of Central and Eastern Montana.

This will bring relief from the heat and dry conditions, but we will be closely tracking these storms- as lightning ignited fires are always a possibility.

We will see cooler temperatures and higher chances of rain from Thursday through Monday.
