Airmen at Malmstrom Air Force Base celebrated the unofficial end of summer with a picnic on Friday.
The annual event is just one way to bring families together to celebrate all the accomplishments of "Wing One" over the last year.
This is also a time to for families to check out Security Forces vehicles, helicopters, and even fire trucks.
341st Force Support Squadron Commander Major Samantha Miller says that events like this are important because it is not just about the airmen.
"Without the family our active duty airmen would not be able to go out and support the mission that we do here, and also what we do overseas as well. It is just a great way for the wing to give back to our airmen and say a big thank you,” Miller said
Booths were also set up with information about different programs offered on and off base.
