Great Falls businesses celebrating Black Friday and Small Business Saturday

Every year, the Saturday after Thanksgiving is celebrated as Small Business Saturday, a time to focus on locally- owned smaller businesses.

Klover, a clothing shop in downtown Great Falls, is one of them, and is celebrating both Black Friday and Small Business Saturday this year. Klover is located at 505 1^st Ave North.

Hometana, which is a Great Falls-based apparel company, will be inside Klover on both days.

This is considered the launch party for Klover being designated as the boutique in town that will be carrying Hometana apparel going forth.

Klover is offering donuts, coffee, and mimosa while you shop on Black Friday.

There will also be a happy hour from 4PM-6PM with Klover and Hometana where you can enjoy local beer and wine and just hang out while shopping to make Black Friday less stressful.

For Small Business Saturday, Klover will be open from 9AM-5PM and both Klover and Hometana will be donating 20 percent of their sale to the Great Falls Children’s Receiving Home.

Many other Great Falls businesses will be offering special deals on Saturday.

Klover owner Kristina Remsen said, “Obviously Small Business Saturday is about shopping local and supporting small businesses and this is the time of year when you want to give back, so we want to do our part and give back to a local charity and help kids in need.”

When you check out on Saturday at Klover you will be able to pick out of a jar for your discount. The jar will be filled with papers with discounts anywhere from 10 percent off to 50 percent off.

Remsen added, “I think it’s really important to both the business owners and the community. By shopping local you are helping to give back to our local economy. I think when you shop local you’re also getting more personalized shopping experience. You’re going to find things that are one of a kind and be greeted with a more personable experience when you walk in.”

The Roadhouse Diner is also joining in on the Small Business fun with a drawing. You can either pick up a map at Roadhouse or print one out. When you visit all the shops on the map and get it initialed by the cashier and bring it back to Roadhouse by 8:30 PM on Saturday, you will be entered in the drawing.
