MISSOULA – A Missoula family is in mourning after the loss of their 6-year-old daughter.

Allison Eaglespeaker was a kindergartner at Russell Elementary School after originally enrolling at Chief Charlo Elementary School in Missoula.

Her mother, Crystal Whiteshield, told MTN News that her daughter “passed from complications from the flu, pneumonia, and asthma.”

Crystal would like for people to know that her daughter was beautiful, happy and so full of life. She added, “We are so devastated that the flu took our baby away from us.”

A GoFundMe page states Allison passed away on Saturday while under care of Community Medical Hospital in Missoula.

The page states that money is being raised to cover medical expenses, transportation for Allison from Missoula to Browning and final resting place in Starr School, as well as expenses to cover any funeral and memorial services.
