Winds have been very strong once again across most of Central Montana.
Tree damage and power outages have even been reported in Great Falls.
Helena has once again avoided most of the wind, and will continue to do so.
The rest of the area is in for more high wind gusts Thursday night and into Friday, and High Wind Warnings remain in effect.
Temperatures will also remain mild, with highs in the 40s and even lower 50s Friday.
Winds finally start to die down Friday night, and should be relatively calm by Saturday.
From the National Weather Service:
* WINDS…Southwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
* TIMING…Strong winds will generally continue through the day on Friday, but the most likely period for damaging winds will be tonight into Friday morning.
* IMPACTS…Strong winds could blow down limbs, trees, and power lines. Isolated power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of 58 mph or more, can lead to property damage.
