GREAT FALLS — Health officials added 138 new COVID-19 cases to the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map on Thursday, July 30th, and one new death.
Note: Numbers reported by the state each day occasionally differ from those reported by county public health departments due to periodic lag times in reporting data to the state. The data below is from the official Montana website on July 30:
- TOTAL CASES & RECOVERIES: There have now been 3,814 cumulative cases statewide, and 2,240 people have recovered from the virus.
- HOSPITALIZATIONS: There are currently 69 patients hospitalized. There have been 221 hospitalizations due to COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
- ACTIVE CASES: The state reports there are currently 1,519 active COVID-19 cases in Montana.
- TESTING: The number of tests increased by 3,261 over the previous 24-hour reporting period, for a new cumulative state-wide total of 168,616.
- DEATHS: The cumulative number of deaths in Montana is now 55. The most recent deaths are in Big Horn County, which announced the death of a man in his 60s on Thursday morning; it was the seventh death in the county related to COVID-19.
CASCADE COUNTY: Cascade County reported three new cases on Thursday - two women in their 20s, and one woman in her 80s. There has been a cumulative total of 135 confirmed cases in Cascade County; of those, 59 have recovered, 74 are currently active, and two have died.
HILL COUNTY: The Hill County Health Department posted on Thursday morning: "Late last night we were made aware of one new COVID-19 case. The case is a female in her 70's and was identified through contact tracing. Also, total Hill County has had three hospitalizations in the last week, two people have since been discharged and are recovering at home, and one remains hospitalized. We will update again this evening with any changes we hear throughout the day. Hill County Total - 43; Active - 27; Recovered - 16."
GLACIER COUNTY: The Glacier County Health Department posted on Thursday morning: "Our cumulative case total is 52 with 9 of those being active cases." There have been 42 recovered patients in Glacier County, and one death.
