GREAT FALLS — Montana added 97new cases to the total on the Montana Response COVID-19 tracking map on Tuesday morning. The data below is from the official Montana website on August 11th:
- TOTAL CASES & RECOVERIES: Montana now reports 5,104 cumulative cases statewide, with 3,542 people recovered.
- HOSPITALIZATIONS: There are currently 77 patients hospitalized. There have been 276 hospitalizations due to COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
- DEATHS: The cumulative number of deaths in Montana is now 77.
- ACTIVE CASES: The state reports there are currently 1,485 active COVID-19 cases in Montana.
- TESTING: The number of tests increased by 1,007 over the previous 24-hour reporting period, for a new cumulative state-wide total of 194,412.

PHILLIPS COUNTY: Twenty-seven new cases were reported in Phillips County by the state on Tuesday. The Phillips County Health Department provided the following information: "Phillips County is at 55 total cases, but the map is not showing recovered just yet. We have 8 individuals who have recovered, bringing our active cases down to 47. This number could change again today, as we are still pending more results.
CASCADE COUNTY: The City-County Health Department in Great Falls said on Tuesday afternoon that there are three new cases confirmed in Cascade County: a man in his 40s, a woman in her 40s, and a male under the age of 20. These cases are associated with contact tracing and community transmission, according to the CCHD. The CCHD last Friday announced the fourth COVID-19-related death in Cascade County. The agency said it was man over the age of 65 with underlying health conditions. The CCHD says that this death is not related to the recent outbreak in a Cascade County long-term care facility. Out of respect for the family, the CCHD said that no additional information will be released.
