Missoula Co. reports 32 new COVID-19 cases

MISSOULA — The Missoula City-County Health Department (MCCHD) is reporting that 32 additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed since the Tuesday update.

The number of active COVID-19 cases stands has risen from 158 on Tuesday to 178.

One of the new cases as well as 12 of the currently active cases are associated with the University of Montana.

The total number of confirmed cases in Missoula County stands at 7,902 including 7,642 recoveries and 82 deaths.

The number of COVID-19 related hospitalizations remains at 12 and includes five Missoula County residents.

The average of daily new cases per 100,000 remains at 19. The MCCHD goal is to bring that number down to 25/100,000 people for two consecutive weeks or more.

The Board of Health announced on Jan. 21 that there will be an easing of several of the COVID-19 restrictions in place for Missoula County.
