HAMILTON – The Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the suspect in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Hamilton that resulted in the death of a child.
Law enforcement located Joseph McNamara, 59, at a home in Hamilton.
McNamara was booked in the Ravalli County jail just after 8 p.m. Sunday and is charged with negligent homicide in the fatal crash that occurred on Golf Course Road at approximately 1 p.m.
Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton told MTN News that the victim, who died in the incident, was a 10-year-old boy.
The Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
