A man is facing a felony burglary charge for shattering a window at the Great Falls Police Department and taking a box of items.

According to an affidavit, a Great Falls police officer responded to the GFPD on Saturday around 3 p.m. for a male who had returned after previously burglarizing the station.

The officer spoke with the man, identified as Procasius Loftin, who admitted to kicking through a window protecting a secure area in the lobby around 11:30 a.m. that day. The window damage is estimated at less than $1,500.

The affidavit states Loftin shattered the window, grabbed a box on the other side, and left the building.

He later returned to the GFPD and placed the box on the counter before leaving again. The box contained DVD sleeves and was valued at less than $1,500.

Loftin returned again and stayed on scene. He apologized for breaking the window, according to the affidavit, and said he would pay to fix it.

He was arrested and now faces a felony burglary charge and two misdemeanors for theft and criminal mischief.
