GREAT FALLS — Dwayne Gary Johnson is facing several charges in Great Falls related to illegal drugs and shoplifting.

Court documents state that police officers were called to Walmart on 10th Avenue South at about 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, for a report of a shoplifter. Johnson was identified by store staff as the suspect after he allegedly tried to walk out of the store with a set of markers valued at $18.80.

When officers searched Johnson, he said he had a "weed pipe" on him, and officers smelled marijuana. Officers found two baggies with marijuana in a pouch on Johnson's belt. They then found a syringe needle with what appeared to be a "blood mixture," according to court documents, which officers believed to be either meth or heroin.

WHen asked what was in the syringe, Johnson stated, "You know what's in there," and later admitted that he used meth.

Court documents note that Johnson's criminal history includes convictions for burglary, theft, disorderly conduct, obstructing a peace officer, violation of a protective order, partner/family member assault, speeding, and criminal possession of dangerous drugs.

Johnson has been charged in this case with criminal possession of dangerous drugs (felony); criminal possession of dangerous drugs (misdemeanor); theft (misdemeanor); and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
