BILLINGS — A 7-year old Billings boy was found safe after his father's Uber Eats delivery car was stolen with the child inside from the Burger King at 520 North 27th Street.

According to Billings Police Sergeant Nate West, a the Chevy Malibu was stolen from the downtown Burger King while the driver was inside the restaurant picking up an order shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday.



The suspect stole the vehicle with the 7-year-old boy still inside.

Officers found the vehicle near Pioneer Park and engaged in a chase, which ended in the area of 8th Street West and Broadwater Avenue after police lost the suspect in traffic.

West said the suspect released the boy on the 100 block of Clark Avenue. The boy knocked on a homeowner's door and was able to call his father.

Billings police reunited the boy with his father at around 6:30 p.m. at the downtown Burger King.

West said no arrests have been made, and the investigation is continuing.
