Fugitive considered “armed and dangerous,” according to Plains Police Department

The Plains Police Department in Sanders County is searching for Mitchell Bear Raymond, a fugitive who they say should be considered armed and dangerous.

Raymond, 25 years old, escaped following a high-speed chase on November 14. Police say the the chase began after an attempted traffic stop, and reached speeds of up to 90 miles per hour.

The passenger and driver then ran away. The passenger - whose name has not been released - was apprehended after "entering and remaining in an occupied structure," according to police.

The driver – identified as Raymond – was not found.

Police say he is wanted on several outstanding warrants as well as questioning regarding recent thefts; they have not disclosed the nature of the warrants.

Mitchell should be considered armed and dangerous, and is likely in the Plains area, according to police.
