Great Falls woman charged with endangering welfare of a child

GREAT FALLS — Shayleah Dawn Franklin has been charged with one count of engangering the welfare of a child and one count of criminal possession of dangerous drugs after concern she was using and/or selling methamphetamine in the presence of her toddler.

According to an initial court documents, officers made contact with Franklin when she admitted to smoking methamphetamine the day before then returned to her daughter.

DFS removed Franklin's daughter and a hair sample was obtained, which later came back as testing positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine.

The documents state Franklin was arrested on April 22nd where she was found to have 1.30 grams of methamphetamine located on her person.
