GREAT FALLS — Sylvia Renee Heavyrunner has been charged after she reportedly assaulted a fellow inmate in the Cascade County Detention Center.

Court documents allege that at about 4:19 p.m. on Sunday, there was an assault at the jail. A Cascade County Sheriff's deputy talked with the defendant - identified as "Jane Doe" in court documents - who said that she and Heavyrunner had gone into a cell and began arguing. Heavyrunner then allegedly began to choke Doe while pinning her against a table; Doe told the officer that she became dizzy and felt like she could not breathe.

Doe said that Heavyrunner then began punching her in the face, and blood "was squirting all over my shirt and my arm from my nose." The deputy noted that Doe had injury marks consistent with her story, and medical staff told the deputy that Doe may have sustained a fractured nose and orbital fracture.

A witness confirmed to the deputy that she saw Heavyrunner punching Doe in the face.

Heavyrunner recently pleaded guilty to aggravated kidnapping (accountability) in connection with a case involving Guadalupe Galicia and Brooklyn Arrowtopknot (see links below).

She has been charged with felony aggravated assault in this case.
